Privacy Policy

Golden Days is a care tracker for senior dogs and cats. This policy explains what information the app handles and the choices you have. We designed Golden Days to keep your animal's records on your own device.

Information stored on your device

Golden Days stores the care information you enter — including your name, your animal's name, species, breed, birth date, photo, health conditions, medications and dose history, daily check-ins, weight entries, notes and questions for your vet — in a local database on your device. This information is not transmitted to us. If you uninstall the app or use the "Reset all data" option, it is permanently deleted from your device.

Photos

If you choose to add a photo of your animal, the app reads only the photo you select through your device's system photo picker. The photo is saved within the app's local storage. We do not upload your photos, and we cannot see them.

Sharing and exports

Golden Days can generate a PDF vet report and a CSV export of your data. These are created on your device and are only shared when you explicitly choose to share them through your device's share sheet. What happens to them after that is governed by the app or service you send them to.

Notifications

Medication reminders are scheduled locally on your device. If you enable notifications, your device's operating system processes them. You can turn them off at any time in the app or in your device settings.

Subscriptions and purchases

Golden Days Pro is sold through Google Play (and, where available, the Apple App Store). Purchases are processed by the store, and subscription status is managed for us by RevenueCat, a subscription-management provider. To determine whether you have an active subscription, RevenueCat processes a pseudonymous app user identifier and purchase information provided by the store. RevenueCat does not receive your animal's care records. To learn more, see RevenueCat's privacy policy. Store payments are handled by Google or Apple under their own privacy policies.

Crash diagnostics

To keep the app reliable, release builds may use Sentry, a crash-reporting service, to collect diagnostic information when the app crashes or errors. This can include the type of error, the version of the app, device model and operating system, and timestamps. It is not used for advertising or tracking you across other apps, and it does not include your animal's care records. See Sentry's privacy policy.

What we don't do

• We don't require an account or collect your email address to use the app.
• We don't include third-party advertising.
• We don't sell or rent your personal information.
• We don't use your animal's care records to train advertising profiles.

Children

Golden Days is intended for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your choices

You can edit or delete your animal's records at any time in the app, or remove all app data with "Reset all data". To cancel a subscription, manage it in the store you purchased it from — Apple and Google handle subscription billing, so cancellation happens there.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be reflected in the app or on this page.
